The homunculus in the White House

Sid with lobster

The little guy in the White House is a big booby trap for democracy and for the happiness of humanity—but we will get beyond him.

He is a weak strongman by historical standards—in spite of his mass disruptions. He is a child and a punk and there are a lot of immature people who love him for that. He and his followers will do immense damage to everything that is good before they are done, but the human race loves to finally throw the bums out of the bar.

Maybe the best thing to do—other than protest and ride your horse hard—is to laugh.

I had a Shakespeare insult generator app that I wore thin trying to generate a Shakespearean insult that does not apply to the little man in the White House. Here is one generated by the Bard himself:

“A most notable coward, an infinite and endless liar, an hourly promise breaker, the owner of no one good quality.” (That’s from All’s Well That Ends Well.)

My clever app couldn’t do better than that, and I was getting tired of spinning insults. So I hacked it into bits and threw it into that tiny little trash bin.

I was just telling someone about your mother’s protest of Bush when they picked her up in her wheelchair and hauled her to jail. I’m settling for protest signs, but jail is a good option!
